On 10/12/10, I ONLY HAD TO THROW AWAY 1 DIAPER ALL DAY! (yes I use disposables, shoot me). And that one diaper only had like half a pee in it!
Blaine pooped in the potty for every single poop and peed in the potty for all but that half pee! I couldn't believe it because he always likes to poop while nursing (must be something about the sucking action activating the pooping muscle LOL).
I love just letting him play with no diaper and not being worried about accidents. {KNOCK ON WOOD} HE'S NEVER HAD AN ACCIDENT WHILE PLAYING WITH HIS DIAPER OFF! That was a dangerous statement because I know I jinxed it. Look out tomorrow! haha. But yeah, it really makes diaper rash like non-existent for us, and if I do see a little red, just more "no diap" time and maybe a hairdryer on his bum clears it up in less than one day! :)

Congrats on the 1 diaper day!! I'm not as ambitious as you as far as potty training this early, but I will say we cloth diaper and have no diaper rash issues either. It's nice not to have to see a red, irritated bum. As it is right now I don't mind diapers, I know I'll be singing a different tune at 6 mos when we start introducing solids. I love all the cute cloth diapers I get to buy so it doesn't motivate me too much to start ECing. :) But you're doing an awesome job with Blaine!!
Don't let him get too used to playing naked - or you're going to have a nudist on your hands! lol ;-)
PS. the absolute BEST diaper cream is "triple paste"
What a dedicated mommy you are!
Interesting note on diaper rash... Steph (my oldest) noticed that diaper rash was an issue when her diet was bad. She often does an anti-candida diet and really noticed a difference with her youngest's diaper rashes. It (candida) shows up on their bums long before it shows any symptoms in mom and long long before a doc will say it is what it is.
Good goin' on usin' less diapers or even all the water and detergent to wash them. I think I could have gotten away with it on the first one but by the third, the firsts had me runnin' 'round too much! Ah, who am I kiddin' I would never have remembered to put the baby on the potty. I melt tea pots that whistle for crying out loud!
Good job on the training. He seems to have the idea down pat. If only he can clue Mom in on "I need to go and I need to go now!" Now is the time start the sign language. Ian is learning how to sign pretty well so far. It is amazing how well those little brains work.
That's pretty cool!
Wow - good for you! We're down to 1-2 a day (during nap/at night) with Austin - but he is two! :)
I'm impressed at your dedication. I somehow think daycare would scoff at me if I asked them to play along with EC.
p.s. LOVE the new header!
