My Lack of Domestic

My best mom-pal had what I dubbed "the most domestic day ever" yesterday.  She started the morning making pink pancakes for her toddler.  Then heart-cut-out cookies with frosting.  Follow that up with making valentines complete with glitter.  [If you've ever done glitter with a 22 month old, that is what she tackled. Willingly.]    The grande finale was heart-shaped pizzas for the whole family for dinner.

Wow talk about making me feel bad!  Not only have I never made heart-shaped pancakes, I don't think I ever will.  I just don't want to.     Yes, my children will be deprived.  Call social services!  I just lack domestic!

I'll tell you what though, my son got to play outside for 3 hours yesterday when we could have been doing cookies and glitter.  Plus his mommy can drive a tractor.

I'd say he is lucky I'm undomestic.

:)

I can barely make pancakes OR pizza much less heart shapes ones! And I also doubt I ever will. Thinking about domestic things makes me panicky. Driving a tractor, or in my case mountain biking, are much cooler!

Dang lucky!

I'm not domestic either. All of the other kids at daycare brought Valentines - I totally didn't even think of that. Oh well...

I made the boys heart shaped pancakes on Sunday...and then promptly realized that I have to cut their pancakes up for them before they can eat them...so what was the point? Silly girl.

makes me tired to even think about doing all that. I can barely get through Christmas and Easter. You will probably get a kick out of this post. http://www.peopleiwanttopunchinthethroat.com/

I'm so not like that either. I'm in a Moms group here and Tucson and a lot of the moms are. It's crazy. Oh well, he seems happy enough that he can play with pots and pans and mommy doesn't have to use them!

by the time i had my 8th kid realized the store bought generic oreos made the kids in a class just as happy as the fancy over the top animal shaped home made cookies...

wow that mom sounds very into valentine's day. driving a tractor is an every day thing, can't make heart-shaped pancakes every day of the year. Besides Blaine sounds like more of a tractor kid. Could you teach me to drive tractor so my kid thinks I'm as cool as you?
