24 Weeks

Well here we are in month 6. I didn't think it'd be smooth sailing forever! I'm officially:

~ 15 lbs heavier
~ waking up in the middle of the night and apparently screaming "I'M DYING" (leg cramp). P.S. Nick says I screamed that but I don't recall those exact words LOL
~ getting a sore lower back
~ failing the glucose test
~ losing my camera link so I can't even show you the week 24 photo
~ wanting to randomly start crying over everything
~ getting annoyed at everything
~ not even excited about an upcoming trip because I know I'll miss my bed way too much

Yep, this is starting to turn out how I had expected pregnancy to be for the whole 9 monthes!

Conversation with a Coworker

A few days ago I was in the copy room and this teacher comes in and says, "Christy, I LOVE that skirt!"

I said, "Yeah, I had to hit up the Goodwill because not too many of my skirts fit me anymore."

She said, "Why?" while looking extremely puzzled.

"Um because I'm 6 monthes pregnant," I replied.

"I HAD NO IDEA!!!!" she said.

How can this be that someone I see three times a week or more can't even tell I'm pregnant and I've gained BOOKOOO POUNDS?!! Let's just say over the last month I've gained WAY MORE than 1 lb per week. Wilbur* is catching up I'd say but he seems to be taking over my insides.

*not his real name but what Nick calls him

Finally!! GUINNESS CERTIFIED!

I'm finally certified as a world record holder by the Guinness Book of World Records! I didn't think it was all that big of a deal to apply and ya ya ya but to everyone else I talk to, it isn't REAL until Guinness says it is! HIP HIP HORRAY!!

22 Weeks

Yep getting bigger! Major milestone here is I FINALLY FELT THE BABY MOVE! I had been on the verge but unsure for the past week and a half. Well, I'm sure now (and even Nick felt it), so it's official.
One of my pregnancy twins started feeling her baby at 16 weeks so I had been patiently waiting for a very long time. Yep; you heard it right, TWO girls I went to high school with are also due on July 13th (facebook reveals miracles again). WHAT ARE THE ODDS? As a math teacher, I can tell you they are very very small. And the odds that all three would be boys? MINUSCULE! We need to play the lottery. The main difference is both of their pregnancies were not planned. One girl even found out she was pregnant from the nurse giving her the flu shot. Bizzarre.
In other news, a few years ago in the summer I got a weird rash on my stomach. Couldn't figure it out and it didn't go away for monthes! I figured it was some sort of heat rash. Well it's back, a little higher and a little smaller. Doesn't itch or anything but I'll probably ask about it next time I go to the doctor.

Weekend Activities around the Farm..

This weekend was really productive. Our family butchered a cow on Saturday and then on Sunday, Nick / me / my dad pruned all the fruit trees. MY DAD?! Yep, probabably for the first time in his life my dad got out the clippers and pruned apple trees, pear trees, and well left us to do the cherry. See my grandma just had cataract surgery and my grandpa is getting a pacemaker put in this week. They had to take it easy this weekend. It is going to get weirder and weirder (and sad) to see them age. I always saw them as such 'young' grandparents (50 years older than me) but as they close in on their 80's, things are definitely changing.
In other news, I'm not sure spring is as close as we think it is: there are still 9 blankets on our bed!!

You Know You're Cool When...

.......Your picture is in a 4th grade standarized test! SOOOO FREAKING NEAT! Nick's college friend told him about this via Facebook (the guy's daughter is in 4th grade in Texas). I can only imagine if I had been proctoring that test and looked over some kid's shoulder to see ourselves on that page. I WOULD HAVE DIED RIGHT THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Probably the coolest thing I've seen. Ever.

The question is here.
