This book is nothing like those, but "Bossypants" by Tina Fey is HYSTERICAL. I absolutely loved it! New follower from Toddle Along Tuesdays.

OMG. I was just going to suggest Bossypants. I'm actually listening to the audiobook on my commute - Tina Fey reads it and it's AWESOME. I listened to "The Year of Fog" a few years ago and loved it. I liked listening to the "The Lakeshore Limited" but it was a bit different. And I enjoyed "The Secret Life of Bees" and anything by Jane Greene (mindless chick lit!)

My fav books ever are Lonesome Dove and Outlander. You with your outside, naturey self would LOVE them.

I also loved Heaven is for Real! Totally different than the two you just read but I have really enjoyed The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo and The Girl Who Played With Fire.

Also, if you watch HBO and saw the Game of Thrones series? The whole series of books are amazing as well. Just finished Clash of Kings and am starting in on A Storm of Swords. We download them on audible so I can listen to them while I clean the house, or do laundry.

Loved Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand...LOVED, LOVED, LOVED IT! Didn't want to put it down...and probably lots of folks have told you about it, but I loved 'The Help' too. I am looking forward to reading the ones you suggested here. Hooray for the written word!

I just finished The Paris Wife and Bel Canto & really enjoyed them both. I also loved A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, if you're looking for a classic.

I can't remember, but you could very well have recommended those to me :) Hope they are new ones for you ;)
