That was one of my fears about going back to work, and DH's when he coaches because he doesn't get home until 6:30 or 8:30 on game nights. But most nights he goes down around 8:30, so we get some time with him.dianahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05022522091692097344noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7643629930900473316.post-88964593280563446042011-12-06T19:24:16.976-08:002011-12-06T19:24:16.976-08:00^^ awh, thanks, mom on the run! same here!! ever...^^ awh, thanks, mom on the run! same here!! every opening at my school gets over 400 applicants applying for it. it is crazy to believe!!basebell6https://www.blogger.com/profile/12476758880824912257noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7643629930900473316.post-20265929955614116002011-12-06T19:23:07.229-08:002011-12-06T19:23:07.229-08:00if everything goes as planned, it will be 8 years ...if everything goes as planned, it will be 8 years before all kids are in school! and you are right: a part of me definitely wants to stay home and will always want to stay home. but another part of me deep down knows that once they are in school, it is that job that I will want to have. And once it is gone, it is gone forever. My school [and lots of others] won't even interview someone with over 3 years of experience and / or a masters degree. Plus there is the whole "paying for college, paying for a bigger house, paying for kids" thing that we will need to do in the future and we will do a lot less worrying on the financial side of things if I have my job.basebell6https://www.blogger.com/profile/12476758880824912257noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7643629930900473316.post-72467907088612108852011-12-06T19:21:35.897-08:002011-12-06T19:21:35.897-08:00I went back to teaching only after 3 months of mat...I went back to teaching only after 3 months of maternity. Hardest but best decision for me. I am a teacher as well and I didn't want to give up my position. I worked hard for the "perfect" teaching job. There were plenty of people who wanted it.
